Its been a very long ten weeks, in hot hot weather, with loud loud children, and whilst I am sad to say goodbye to friends, I am so stoked to get on the road!
So whilst I sit dying from sleep deprivation in Split (we partied till 5am and then got on a 5 30am bus), I am also concocting travel plans in my head. I seem to constantly have my nose stuck into my Lonely Planet at the mo, and I literally want to see it all.

Last saturday I visited one of Croatia’s most stunning places, Plitvice National Park.
After a night of getting lost in our rental car (never let me be in charge of a sat-nav, especially abroad), followed by some casual drinking with a Kiwi, an Ozzie, a Czech and a Welshman; I headed to these splendid lakes with said Ozzie and Czech.

Sometimes, removed from normality, in new environments outside our comfort zone, we surprise ourselves. Indeed, coming away this summer, without my home comforts and normal routine, I have developed my character in some pretty unique ways.

It’s been a crazy four weeks. Home, taking baths, having a mobile, feeling clean, proper English tea, my daily Facebook addiction… all feel a million miles away. I’ve never felt better.
